I am compiling information on hardware combination latency. I am most interested in outboard digital mixers with ADAT, S/PDIF ... digital PC input. (There is no need to report information on analog mixers with regular sound cards (converters on board) like: Soundblaster, Layla ... The latency should be relatively low - if not contact your manufacturer)

Here is what I want to measure: feed your analog output of your DAW (where you monitor your recordings) directly into your mixer input. Playback a spike (or other easily identifiable waveform) from the workstation while recording this signal on a second channel. Now count how many samples the 2nd signal lags behind the first. From that and the sample rate you can calculate the amount of delay.

This information will be compiled and posted on the DAW timing page at SKINofFLINT.com

I will keep this page up until I have enough data to include the most common mixer & digital channel combinations.
